24 Feb Obstacles to learning Qur’an – Finding free time
After overcoming the procrastination, you may ask yourself how should I start learning Qur’an? How will I manage my time and spend part of it learning Qur’an regularly?
In this blog, we aim not to make you abandon your activities whether they are essentials or not. Instead, we just ask you to add one more activity to them. The time of this activity is just 30 minutes. Let’s see how will we spend these 30 minutes learning Qur’an?
15 minutes after dawn:
Besides your brain is still fresh, this period of time has a lot of Barakah. After praying Al-Fajr prayer, bring your Moshaf and focus on 5-10 verses in average. Listen to the reciter and try to copy his recitation. Repeat and repeat as much as you can these verses after the reciter.
It’s highly recommended for beginners to listen to Sheikh Al-Husary. here
15 minutes before bedtime:
As you have started your day with Al-Qur’an, it will be perfect to finish it with Al-Qur’an too especially, after long work/school day, meetings, and family activities. In the meantime, you will not recite more verses, but you will revise the verses that you recited after dawn to make sure that you recite them properly.
At the beginning of your recitation, you will do a lot of errors, and you will not even observe them, so it’s necessary to find a teacher who will keep an eye on you to correct your recitation and help you to make a quick progression. Insha’allah our next blog will be about how to find a Qur’an teacher. May Allah accepts all your efforts and grants you the beneficial knowledge.
